When your remodel is done, you should be able to walk away and never think about it again — except for how awesome it looks and how well it’s built. Not wonder about what’s behind the tile. Not just cross your fingers every time you use your shower. You should be able to Sleep Well At Night — and that’s not a feeling we leave to chance. It’s something we engineer into every project from the first day on site to the final walkthrough.

That’s the S.W.A.N. Plan. The way we build, the products we specify, and the warranties that back it all up — working together so that when we hand you back your home, you have real protection and zero doubt.

What the S.W.A.N. Plan Actually Means

The S.W.A.N. Plan is the combination of three things working together: the way we build, the products we specify, and the warranties that back it all up. Each one reinforces the others.

A great installation process means nothing if the materials fail. Great materials mean nothing if they’re installed incorrectly. And warranties mean nothing if the contractor who issued them disappears. All three have to work together — that’s what makes Sleep Well At Night a reality and not just something we say on a website.

How We Build — The Standard Behind the Plan

Think of it this way — some contractors build you a Mercedes shell but don’t put the genuine parts under the hood. Same price, different quality. The S.W.A.N. Plan is the commitment that what’s on top of the subfloor, behind the tile, and inside the wall is just as solid as what you can see. We’re the ones putting our name and our warranty on the line — and that changes how we build.

Waterproofing Is Never Optional

On every wet area installation — curbless showers, walk-in showers, and tub-to-shower conversions — we apply the Laticrete Hydro Ban board and waterproofing membrane. This is the same commercial-grade system used in hotels, hospitals, and high-end residential builds. It gets flood tested before a single tile goes up. If it doesn’t hold water, we don’t move forward. When that test passes, that’s the moment you earn the right to Sleep Well At Night every time. This is the foundation of our shower waterproofing process, and it’s non-negotiable on every wet area we build.

Decoupling Membrane Under Every Tile Floor

Tile cracks because the floor underneath moves. A hairline crack in a slab that widens. A wood subfloor that flexes seasonally. Without something between the substrate and the tile to absorb that movement, even a perfectly installed floor can crack a year in.

That’s why we install the Laticrete Strata Mat decoupling membrane standard on every tile floor over a plywood subfloor — and offer it as an upgrade on concrete slabs when conditions call for it (like an older slab with existing spider cracks). Strata Mat is backed by the same 25-year Laticrete manufacturer warranty as Hydro Ban. It’s the difference between tile flooring that holds up for 20 years and tile that telegraphs every crack from below at year three.

A Flat Finish on Every Large-Format Tile Install

Tile that isn’t perfectly flat shows lippage — those small height differences between adjacent tiles that catch the light and look uneven, especially on large-format and wood-plank tile. A lot of tile installers don’t use a clip system to control for this, which is why so many large-format jobs end up with edges that don’t quite line up.

On every install of 12×24 tile or larger, we use the Raimondi self-leveling clip system to guarantee a flat, lippage-free finish. It’s an extra step that takes more time and costs more in materials — and it’s the reason our finished tile work, including shower tile and backsplash installations, looks like the showroom photos instead of a DIY job.

Materials Are Specified, Not Improvised

We work with a short list of vendors we trust — Delta, Sollid Cabinetry, Arizona Tile, Laticrete, and Raimondi. These aren’t random picks. They’re manufacturers whose products we’ve installed on hundreds of projects across the East Valley, who back their products with real warranties, and whose quality we’ve verified ourselves. When we spec a product for your project, we’re not guessing. We’ve built with it before and we’d put it in our own home. That’s what the S.W.A.N. Plan requires — materials we’d stand behind even if there were no warranty attached.

A Process That Doesn’t Skip Steps

The S.W.A.N. Plan runs through our 6-step remodeling process from the first consultation to final walkthrough. Demo, prep, rough-in work, waterproofing, installation, finish-work — in that order, every time. No skipping ahead because a material arrived late. No patching over a problem we found in demo. When something comes up, we communicate it and we handle it correctly. Sleep Well At Night starts with a process that doesn’t cut corners when nobody’s watching.

The Full S.W.A.N. Warranty Stack

This is where the S.W.A.N. Plan becomes something you can hold in your hand. Every project we complete is backed by a combination of our own workmanship warranty and manufacturer warranties from the brands we install. This is what Sleep Well At Night looks like on paper.

Our 5-Year Workmanship Warranty

This is ours — issued by Mustache Approved Remodeling, ROC #309760. If something fails because of how it was installed, we come back and we fix it. No runaround, no pointing fingers at the product manufacturer. Five years of coverage on the labor and craftsmanship of every project we complete. Because Sleep Well At Night means nothing if the warranty isn’t in writing and the contractor isn’t answering the phone.

Manufacturer Warranties We Stand Behind

Beyond our own warranty, every major product category we install carries manufacturer coverage. When you stack these on top of our 5-year workmanship warranty, you have layered protection from day one all the way through the life of the installation. That’s the S.W.A.N. Plan in action — coverage that doesn’t leave gaps.

Not every warranty applies to every project — a kitchen remodel won’t require Laticrete waterproofing the same way a curbless shower will, and a tile-only job won’t involve Sollid cabinetry. What applies depends on what we build. But every project carries our 5-year workmanship warranty, no exceptions.

The S.W.A.N. Plan Across Every Service

The S.W.A.N. Plan isn’t limited to one type of project. Whether we’re rebuilding a master bathroom, remodeling a kitchen, refreshing cabinets, installing tile, updating a fireplace, or laying new flooring — Sleep Well At Night is the standard we build to on every job site, every time.

Bathroom Remodeling

The bathroom is where the S.W.A.N. Plan does its heaviest lifting. Waterproofing, fixture selection, tile installation, vanity work, flooring, countertops — every element of a bathroom remodel falls under the same standard. Hydro Ban covers the wet areas for 25 years. Strata Mat protects the floor tile for 25 years. Delta covers the fixtures for life. Arizona Tile covers the quartz vanity tops for 15 years. Sollid covers the cabinetry for 5 years. We cover the installation for 5 years. That’s six layers of protection on the room most likely to have water-related problems down the road — so you can Sleep Well At Night knowing every shower taken in that bathroom isn’t silently working against you behind the tile.

Kitchen Remodeling

On a kitchen remodel, the S.W.A.N. Plan means cabinets that are level, square, and installed to last — backed by Sollid Cabinetry’s 5-year warranty on every kitchen cabinet installation. It means countertops spec’d from Arizona Tile’s quartz line with 15-year coverage. It means Delta fixtures installed correctly the first time with a lifetime warranty behind them.

A kitchen remodel is a significant investment. We build it so you never have to think about it again — except for how good it looks. And if budget is the question, our financing options make it possible to get the kitchen you actually want instead of the one you can pay for in cash today.

Cabinet Painting and Refacing

When the cabinet boxes stay and only the finish changes, the work IS the warranty. There’s no Sollid Cabinetry warranty on a cabinet painting or cabinet refacing job because the original cabinet boxes aren’t being replaced — what we’re delivering is craftsmanship: prep, primer, finish, and install. Every cabinet refresh we complete is done right with premium materials and backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty. New-looking cabinets for a fraction of replacement cost, with the same workmanship coverage that applies to every project we touch.

Tile Installation

Tile work lives or dies on what happens before the tile goes down. Proper substrate prep, the right setting materials, the right decoupling, correct grout and sealing, and a flat installation — these are the steps that separate a tile job that lasts 20 years from one that starts failing at year three.

Our tile installation includes the Laticrete Strata Mat decoupling membrane standard under tile floors over plywood (and as an upgrade option on concrete slabs), the Raimondi clip system on every large-format and wood-plank tile install, and our 5-year workmanship warranty on the entire job. Sleep Well At Night knowing what’s underneath is just as solid as what you can see — and that what’s on top is perfectly flat.

Fireplace Remodeling

A fireplace remodel is one of the highest-visibility projects in a home — it anchors the whole room. The S.W.A.N. Plan applies here through proper substrate prep, correct tile or stone installation, the same Raimondi clip system on large-format surrounds, and the same 5-year workmanship warranty that covers every project we complete. It’s the focal point of your home and we build it as solid as it looks.

Flooring Installation

Flooring installation done right is something you walk on every day for 20 years and never think about — except for how good it looks. The S.W.A.N. Plan on flooring means a properly prepared subfloor, correct installation methods for the specific material — LVP, tile, or hardwood — and our 5-year workmanship warranty covering the result. On tile floors, that includes the Strata Mat decoupling layer standard on plywood subfloors. On premium LVP, manufacturer warranties often run 25 years or more on the product itself. Either way, you Sleep Well At Night knowing it was done right from the subfloor up.

Whole Home Remodeling

A whole home remodel brings every category under the S.W.A.N. Plan at once — bathrooms, kitchens, flooring, tile, fixtures. The warranty stack scales with scope, and our role as your general contractor means a single point of accountability for every part of the project. One contract, one warranty story, one phone number if anything ever needs attention.

Why This Matters More Than You Think

The S.W.A.N. Plan exists because we believe a finished remodel should feel like a relief, not a gamble. When we’re done, you shouldn’t be waiting to see if something goes wrong. You should already know it won’t — because you watched us flood test the shower, because you have the warranties in writing, and because you know exactly who to call if anything ever comes up.

We’re a licensed Arizona contractor — ROC #309760 — with a real business, real vendors, and real accountability. When the job is done, you have documentation. You have coverage. And you have a finished space you can be proud of every single day.

Sleep Well At Night isn’t something we say at the end of a sales pitch. It’s the standard the S.W.A.N. Plan is built on — from the first day on site to the last day of your warranty coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions About the S.W.A.N. Plan

What does the 5-year workmanship warranty cover?

Our 5-year workmanship warranty covers defects related to how your project was installed — things like tile that becomes uneven, grout that fails prematurely, fixtures that weren’t set correctly, or cabinetry that wasn’t properly secured. If the issue is the result of our installation rather than normal wear or homeowner misuse, we come back and fix it at no charge. This warranty is issued by Mustache Approved Remodeling, ROC #309760, and is in writing for every project we complete.

What’s the difference between the workmanship warranty and the manufacturer warranties?

The workmanship warranty covers the labor — how the product was installed. Manufacturer warranties cover the product itself — defects in the material, finish failures, or performance issues that stem from how the product was made. On a shower build, our 5-year workmanship warranty covers the installation, while the Laticrete 25-year warranty covers the Hydro Ban membrane itself. Both apply simultaneously — that’s the layered protection the S.W.A.N. Plan is built around.

What is Laticrete Strata Mat and why do you use it?

Strata Mat is a decoupling membrane manufactured by Laticrete. It’s installed between the subfloor and the tile, and its job is to absorb structural movement so that any cracks or seasonal flex in the substrate don’t transfer up through the tile and grout. We install it standard on every tile floor that goes over a plywood subfloor (where seasonal movement is more pronounced), and offer it as an upgrade on concrete slabs when site conditions warrant — like an older slab with existing spider cracks. Strata Mat carries a 25-year Laticrete manufacturer warranty, the same as Hydro Ban.

What is the Raimondi clip system and why does it matter for tile?

Raimondi is a self-leveling clip system used during tile installation to ensure adjacent tiles end up perfectly flat with each other — eliminating lippage, the small height differences between tiles that catch the light and look uneven. A lot of tile installers don’t use a clip system at all, which is why so many large-format tile jobs end up with visible lippage. We use Raimondi on every install of 12×24 tile or larger, including wood-plank tile. It takes more time and uses more materials, but it’s the difference between a finished floor that looks like a showroom photo and one that doesn’t.

Does the S.W.A.N. Plan apply to every project?

Yes. The S.W.A.N. Plan is our company-wide standard — it’s not a premium tier or an add-on. Every project we complete carries our 5-year workmanship warranty and is built using vetted materials from the vendors we trust. The specific manufacturer warranties that apply will vary depending on what products are used in your project, but the build standard and the ability to Sleep Well At Night when we’re done never change.

Is Laticrete Hydro Ban required on every shower you build?

Yes — on every wet area installation without exception. There is no version of a shower, tub surround, or curbless floor transition we build without a Laticrete Hydro Ban waterproofing membrane underneath. It gets flood tested before tile installation begins. That flood test is the moment the S.W.A.N. Plan is proven — it’s not something we skip regardless of budget or timeline.

What happens if something goes wrong after my remodel is complete?

You call us. We’re a licensed Arizona contractor with a real business and a real phone number. If something fails within our 5-year workmanship warranty window and it’s related to our installation, we come out, assess the issue, and make it right. If it’s a product defect covered by a manufacturer warranty, we help you navigate that claim as well. Sleep Well At Night means you’re covered — not left dealing with it alone.

How do I know the S.W.A.N. Plan is actually being followed on my project?

Two ways. First, our 6-step remodeling process is documented and we walk you through what happens at each stage before we start. Second, we document our installations — flood testing for waterproofing, decoupling membrane installs before tile goes down, and clip system use on large-format tile. We encourage clients to check in during the build. A contractor who’s following the S.W.A.N. Plan has nothing to hide behind the walls.
