Mesa Bathroom Remodel Update – Rough Plumbing & Electrical

Hi, it’s Nick Kayser with Mustache Approved Remodeling, back out here in Mesa, Arizona at Helgi and Joan’s home. This bathroom is officially taking shape, and today’s update covers some of the most important behind-the-scenes work that homeowners never get to see — the work that makes the final transformation possible.

✅ What’s Been Completed So Far

✔️ Rough plumbing completed
All supply lines and drain lines have been re-routed and upgraded to match the new bathroom layout. Everything is pressure-tested and ready for waterproofing.

✔️ Rough electrical completed
We added new lighting wiring, rerouted switches and outlets, and prepped for future fixtures to brighten the space and improve function.

✔️ Drywall repair + soffit removal
The old soffits are gone, opening up the room and giving us a much cleaner, more modern layout. Fresh drywall repairs have everything smooth and ready for tile prep.

✔️ Hydro Ban waterproofing system (S.W.A.N. Plan)
We’ve installed the waterproofing foundation that gives our clients true Sleep Well At Night confidence using Laticrete Hydro Ban. This is the backbone of every Mustache Approved tile shower.

✔️ Tile prep complete
The shower walls, niches, and main wet areas are now fully prepped and ready for tile install.
